How to Apply?
If you would like to spend your foreign education period at Doğuş University within the scope of Erasmus Student Exchange programme, you should contact the Erasmus Office at your institution and if there is an Erasmus Agreement between two institutions.

Before Mobility
Before the mobility, the student must complete the required application documents and forward it to Erasmus Office. A letter of acceptance is prepared by Erasmus Office for students who submit their documents in full. The student must be available in Istanbul at least one day before orientation date.
Students who will come to our university within the scope of the Erasmus programme need to send the following documents to our office before the deadline:
- Application form
- The Learning Protocol
- Passport photocopy (In addition to the passport photocopies; students with Turkish Citizenship must send their ID card, and students with Blue Card must send their Blue Card.)
During Mobility
After enrolling at Doğuş University, the Erasmus+ students will be able to perform their course selections and other academic procedures.
Under the Orientation Programme held prior to every semester, all incoming Erasmus students and other exchange students are given a briefing on enrollment and campus life.
During your stay at Doğuş University, you will be required to apply for Residence Permit. All the exchange students are required to apply for a residence permit within one month following their arrival in Turkey. Please note that it is the students’ responsibility to obtain the document. The International Relations Office will assist international students during this process.

Documents You Need for Residence Permit Application
- Application form: This form is created by e-Residence system when residence permit application is completed. The application form should be printed out and signed by the student and/or legal representative.
- Original copy and photocopy of the passport or travel document: You are required to hold a passport or a travel document valid at least 60 (sixty) days beyond the duration of the requested residence permit. Please note that you are also required to provide the photocopy of your passport and the stamped passport page of your last entry into Turkey.
- Two photographs: It should be taken in the last 6 months, against a white background and biometrical.
- Valid health insurance: You are required to provide only one document appropriate for you out of the ones listed below regarding health insurance.
- You are required to apply for “general health insurance” to Social Security Institution within 3 months as of the first enrollment date of university. You can apply for a residence permit with an e-signed or signed and stamped document. (You are required to obtain this document by applying to Provincial Unit of Social Security Institution)
- Private Health Insurance (If you do not apply for General Health Insurance within 3 months as of the first enrollment date, you can take out private health insurance)
- In case you obtain, you can apply for a residence permit with an e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document which is received from Provincial Unit of Social Security Institution and which enables the access to health services in Turkey within the scope of bilateral social security agreements.
- You can also apply for a residence permit with an e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped certificate of authorization received from Social Security Institution.
- Student certificate: The certificate received from the university which you are enrolled at must be e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped.
- Document showing your address information: It is very important that you can communicate with General Directorate of Migration Management. Because by this means you can have access to the rights and services in Turkey. So, the address and contact information that you state must be valid and correct. For your address information, you are required to provide a document showing your address (Rent, dormitory, pension, etc.) in Turkey clearly and correctly. (For example, a signed/stamped document received from dormitory management if you are staying in a dormitory or a notarized rental contract if you are staying as a tenant, etc.)
- Residence permit card fee receipt: Amount of card fee is included in your residence permit application form. You are required to add the receipt to your application documents after making your payment at the tax offices or the bank.
Course Enrollment
Course enrollment is done at the beginning of the semester and course add and drop transactions are performed within the specified period. In the event that you wish to make a change to your previous course schedule, you may do so on the second page of the learning protocol following the approval of your institution.
After Mobility
For the successful completion of the mobility, Discharge Form must be submitted to Erasmus Office.
The following documents will be delivered to your university by Erasmus Office.
- Academic Transcript: The original copy of your academic transcript will be mailed to Erasmus Office at your university by Erasmus Office at Doğuş University. If you need more than one original copy, you must send an e-mail to internationaloffice@dogus.edu.tr
- Certificate of Attendance: If requested by the student, a Certificate of Attendance indicating the start and end dates of the mobility will be issued and given to the student by Erasmus Office.
The academic transcripts of the students will be sent to their institutions within one month from the end of the educational period at the latest.
Health Insurance for Erasmus Programme Incoming Students
Incoming students must have a health insurance during their stay in Turkey. In order to activate the insurance in Turkey that already has international validity, the policy should be confirmed by the relevant insurance organization located in Turkey (no translation required). If the company does not have an organization in Turkey or the organization does not approve the insurance, students need to either join in SGK system for General Health Insurance (GSS) in three months beginning from the date of enrollment or take out new private health insurance. According to the agreement between Turkey and several other countries, students who have health insurance can benefit from their insurance in Turkey.
