Erasmus Policy Statement
Since
it was established, the vision of Doğus University has been to offer
excellent academic services at higher education level. Within this
framework, our institution constantly aims at extending the spectrum
of its education activities to the benefit of the academic staff and
students by expanding and raising teaching and research
collaborations both at European and international levels. We also aim
to increase the variety of academic disciplines available for
mobility.
Following
this principle, Doğus University values the Erasmus+ programme as a
key contributor towards the realisation of this aspiration. Erasmus+
programme brings out the necessary means by which students can
realise the integration of their knowledge and skills within the
context of a multicultural and a multi-knowledge environment.
We
strongly believe that new alliances will allow our institution to
successfully create novel opportunities that will promote excellence
and quality achievement in academic, personal and professional
development.
Student
mobility at Doğuş University receives exclusive attention and our
institution ensures the arrangement of equal academic attitude and
services to home and incoming Erasmus+ students, hence, giving a
chance to each incoming Erasmus+ student to become an absolutely
integrated and competent student of the university.
As
the University supports the Erasmus+ Mobility, orientation programs
and information meetings are regularly held by our International
Relations Office at the beginning of the Academic Year. In addition,
prospective students are informed about the Erasmus+ Programme during
several international educational fairs.
During
the orientation program incoming/outgoing students are given an
opportunity to learn about the advantages and challenges of the
programme. We prepare and offer a specific orientation plan for
incoming students helping them to familiarize with new academic,
cultural and social environment.
Our
University gives priority to partnering with HEIs of diverse cultures
and HEIs that are based in different geographical areas. DOU seeks to
partner with Higher Education institutions that comply with the
Bologna and the EHEA frameworks and standards. As the Bologna process
has been implemented by Dogus University, full recognition of
courses, transcripts in ECTS credits, grades and Diploma Supplement
are given to incoming/outgoing students.
On
the basis of its strategy Doğuş University is currently in the
research process for new projects and programmes with its ERASMUS
partners and other universities, accredited by their official
national bodies in each country of origin, aiming to deliver these
programmes in Europe and other countries internationally. These
actions will intensify each institution’s strengths and expertise
and offer unique, mutual, and major benefits for all institutions
involved.
