Laboratories
Animation Laboratory: It is especially used for the lessons of Visual Communication Design Department. There is a special light table for animation projects. In addition to its use for animation projects, the lab is also designed so that students of the department can meet their computer and internet needs.
PC Laboratories: The computers in the computer labs that all students of Doğuş University use are equipped with all the programs which allow different studies to be done. There are 12 computer laboratories in different locations in the campus, all with internet connection.
CAD / CAM Laboratory: Students are able to produce real objects by transferring the objects they design in the computer environment or programs that they create by using special coding techniques to the system in Computer aided design (CAD) (Computer Aided Manufacturing) / Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) laboratory. An integrated "unmanned production system" has been created with the production band and robot unit has been added to the system.
CIM Laboratory: Students gain theoretical and practical experience in the CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) laboratory. Students have the opportunity to learn about possible high technology problems that they may encounter in different industrial sectors and learn how to analyse and produce solutions for them during their university education.
Electronics and Communication Engineering Laboratory: The laboratory that the students of the Engineering Faculty use has all necessary electronic and technological infrastructures. Experiment tables are organized so that students can work in pairs. Also, students have the opportunity to conduct a variety of experiments in a computer environment thanks to the LABVIEW software in the lab.
Chemistry Laboratory: Experimental practices, in parallel with the theoretical chemistry information, are performed in chemistry laboratory within chemistry courses given to freshmen in Engineering Departments. In laboratories, anion-cation analyses, sedimentation, neutralization, redox reactions experiments are usually conducted in groups in order to help students identify the chemical substances and reactions. In the same way, Virtual Chemistry Laboratory (simulation laboratory) is also frequently used. It is possible to conduct 1,016 experiments in this laboratory where error calculations, graph drawing, linear regression and approximate calculations are made especially by simulating inorganic reactions, thermochemistry, titration, gasses and quantum chemistry experiments.
Macintosh Laboratories: There are i-macs, video projectors and colour printers in these labs used by students of Graphics, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design departments. The latest versions of all software required for project works are installed in these labs where studies on drawing, graphics, design, etc. are carried out.
Mechanical Engineering Laboratories: It is used by Engineering Faculty, especially Mechanical Engineering Department. In these laboratories, there are basic electronics and instrumentation training sets, sensor training sets and universal tension-compression testing devices. Also, there is a surface inspection and imaging microscopy, hardness measuring device, and testing equipment for heat transfer and flow measurement, and torsion and bending in shafts. In the laboratories, "experiments related to basic electronic measurement methods using standard electronic devices, experiments in which basic sensors are used and necessary signal processing circuits are conducted by students, tension-compression testing experiments in the field of material mechanics and strength, 3 point bending test, 4 point bending test and ultimate tensile capacity measuring experiments "can be carried out.
Microprocessor Lab: The laboratory used by students of Engineering Faculty is one of the most important practice environments of Computer Engineering and Information Systems Engineering programs in particular. Laboratories that are equipped with Motorola and Intel training kits provide microprocessor training in a considerably wide area.
Multimedia Lab: The laboratory within the Library and Documentation Centre has the significant technological equipment that allows students to use their multimedia applications. In addition, 115 multimedia-supported classrooms equipped with hardware required for computer-assisted lessons and presentations were set up. These classrooms are used especially in the lectures that are mainly visual.
